Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan offers Healthways SilverSneakers Fitness Program as part of its 2012 benefits package for Medicare Plus Blue PPOSM plans.
SilverSneakers is designed exclusively for older adults and offers eligible members an innovative blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle direction and social opportunities. Eligible Blues Medicare Advantage members can join the award-winning program at no additional cost after enrolling in an eligible Medicare Advantage plan and enjoy the “fitness, fun and friends” for which the acclaimed program is best known.
Through SilverSneakers you will have access to a variety of benefits, including:
- A fitness center membership to more than 11,000 participating locations across the country
- Signature SilverSneakers fitness classes, such as SilverSneakers Muscular Strength & Range of Movement, SilverSneakers Cardio Circuit, SilverSneakers YogaStretch and SilverSplash® at select locations
- Exercise equipment, pool, sauna and other available amenities
- Seminars and other social events
- A Program AdvisorSM at the fitness center to show you around and help you get started
